LA TOJA, A GREEN AND BLUE PARADISE
Villalia holiday homes are located in a quiet urbanization on the exclusive Isla de La Toja, located in the Galician Rías Baixas.
The best access route to this privileged island of world fame for the properties of its mineral-medicinal waters is by car through a 19th century bridge crowned by a white balustrade, which has already become a symbol of this tourist enclave and that joins the town of O Grove with La Toja.
O Grove is well connected by bus with the main Galician cities, including Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, which have an international airport.
One of the main charms of A Toxa is that it brings together a wide range of sports and leisure activities in just over a square kilometer: golf, spa treatments, shooting range, casino, shops ... and of course the famous Galician cuisine.
This island is the perfect starting point to explore Galicia and discover its charm. A little over an hour away by car or bus is Santiago de Compostela, a must for its Cathedral, which is the goal of Christian pilgrimage and its Historic Center that has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Vigo is the industrial city par excellence of Galicia and is also one hour from A Toxa. From this town you can take the boats that lead to the Cíes Islands, declared a Natural Park and included in the Atlantic Islands National Park. There is Rhodes, chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as "the best beach in the world."
Another beautiful island that can be accessed by boat from A Toxa is that of Ons, close to O Grove and also part of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
The Rías Baixas, in addition to its seafood and its beaches, are also known for giving its name to one of the most famous wine appellations of origin in Spain, where Albariño wine is made. Wine tourism enthusiasts will find in the many wineries in the region another incentive to stay on the Island of La Toja.
